We, at future@amatra, know well why it is so important for you to be 100% focused while deciding an institution for you. Here, our experts have put down a few key points to be kept in mind while you embark on your journey to a new world.
1. Research and research!
Nobody can be a better guide then you yourself. Do your bit of research before
you contant any counsellor. Investigate courses, universities and their
locations. Look up on the teaching methodology of different universities, know
about the opportunities, campus life and employment prospects before you take a
decision and finalise your selection. Read the reviews and ask your friends and
family. You may even reach out to the alumni of universities you are interested
in for a better picture. Remember to keep your budget in mind. Do check out the
scholarships offered, as a part of your research.
If you think this could be an exhausting process, we are always there to help. Just walk in to our office for a free counselling session and we’ll guide you to your perfect career path.
2. After your Research…
When you’re ready after your reasearch, the next step is to call us up; make an
appointment with any of our professional future@amatra counsellor. Our certified
counsellors are specialists in their field and have many years of experience in
dealing with international college admissions. With their knowledge and
experience of the world institutions, and a smile on their face, they are ever
ready to lend a helping hand.
Just bring your list of desired courses and country preferences and our counsellor will work through the minutest details to ensure the best possible institution for you.
3. Submit your Application
Once you have decided your course and university, it’s time to fill up the online
Application Form.
Our counsellors will personally fill up your university and course applications. They will communicate with your chosen university or college and ensure a better acceptance rate for you. For us, applying for you is a very serious task at hand and we employ strict codes of conduct in performing our responsibilities.
4. The University starts the Process of Scrutinizing your Application
Once your application is received by the university it will go through it thoroughly and notify you of the decision. The entire process of scrutiny and decision making may take up to a few weeks (or longer for postgraduate levels). Generally, we apply to many institutions at the same time so as to ensure you an admission to the best possible and the best fit college for you.
5. It’s time to Accept Admission Offers
When your application is accepted by the university or school, they will send you a letter of offer and an acceptance form. This is a conditional offer which gets confirmed after you submit all the required documents which is only after your Board examinations. But, before you accept the offer, you need to go through it carefully with your counsellor at future@amatra to check for any conditions that may be applicable.
If you are accepted for more than one course or school, you will need to spend some time with your counsellor over your decision before you come out with the best option for yourself.
6. Pay for your Course
Our Counsellors will also guide you through the process of paying for your college fee which is generally for the first year to be paid as one installment. We also advise you on applying for education loans which can be very easily availed. And, don’t forget the scholarships; they really help.
7. The Student Visa Process requires an
expert handling
The most important task after accepting the letter of offer is to apply for
your student visa. Now, this might be a little tedious. We need to understand
that each country has its own set of visa formalities, and it’s here that your
counsellor will guide you through the entire visa application process and help in
arranging all the documents required for your submission.
We would like to tell you that we have a dedicated travel and tourism department ready to process your visa! (add link)
8. Accommodation Matters
Most of the students in their first year in college must prefer an on-campus accommodation. Should you have any relatives or friends staying in the same city, it would be simply wonderful. But, to be very honest, a campus stay in the first year would offer a completely different experience. Later on, you can look for rooms on rent, a homestay or even a local host family you may have come across. Well, the cost will vary from city to city. Our counsellors will be glad to guide you on matters like renting an apartment, or going for a homestay, and even brief you about paying for utility bills like electricity, water usage, telephone connection, etc.
9. Booking the most comfortable flight
The decision to study in a foreign land was not an easy one. Still, there’s one more step to go; the flight. Remember to book your flights well in advance. Getting the tickets well in advance will help you save much. You also need to check for the entry requirements in your host country and the baggage allowance of the airline; it might be different for different airlines.
10. The minutest details.
And, finally, it’s now time for the final check list. Some of the very
important aspects to be considered are foreign exchange, insurance, SIM cards,
opening a bank account, knowing the country and the country rules and adapting
to new culture. Our pre-departure sessions will help you prepare for a safe,
happy and comfortable life in your new country.
11. The Great Packing begins:
Remember to pack your bags in an organized manner. Carry only what you need the most or what you cannot do without. Our experts will guide you even through this part of your journey.
